Cast Iron Cookware: A Class for Cooks and Adventurers

In this class, you will learn the gentle art of using iron cookware under all kinds of conditions.
You will learn things about the metal that will help you make sense of its behavior, see demonstrations of cooking techniques, and learn about storage and handling.
Feel free to bring problem pans and worrisome artifacts. We can either fix the issues in class or develop a plan to bring the item back into usable condition.

All instruction and materials are included. You will learn to keep cast iron cookware functioning at its best!
What goes into our class pricing? As a local nonprofit, Duluth Folk School is committed to supporting both our instructors and community. We want to compensate our instructors fairly, keep class sizes small, and keep our doors open—while also keeping prices as low as we can.

Student Requirements
- Skill Level/Prerequisite Skills: No special skills required.
- Best for Age: 13 and older
- You should bring: You may bring problem pans, food you would like to cook in the problem pan and the utensils you usually use while cooking with your iron pan.
