Paul Webster

I am a person of many interests. Work with chimneys and masonry has been ranging from full to part time in my life since 1982. It is my current day job. My musical interests are folk vocals and mostly Celtic tunes on the penny whistle. I have performed in many countries as a street musician and earned thousands of dollars as such, but have also enjoyed singing and playing with various bands. Blacksmithing is another passion. I forged various goods for Duluth Pack Store for 11 years and for Frost River for 20. As the Initiating Officer of Forging Community, a blacksmithing school founded as a nonprofit in 2012, it has been wonderful to watch the group grow from a handful to dozens of excellent crafters! Other career highlights include 20 years as an instructor of English, art and industrial technology at the high school and community college levels and 15 years training staff in skilled labor settings. I hold a Masters of Experiential Education and a BA in technical writing, with a minor in art. Leisure activities for me are hunting, fishing, hiking, gardening, and raising chickens.
