The Right Person
The Dovetail Cafe & Marketplace is ready to re-examine how we do business as we reopen after COVID, and you could be the person who brings a new vision of the Dovetail Cafe to fruition.
This is not a regular ‘cafe manager’ sort of job. The Dovetail Cafe & Marketplace is a community-focused organization which offers healthy and delicious food, is a unique and welcoming place for people to gather, a venue for craft and art classes, and much more. We are looking for an awesome person to fill this position, and to play a vital role in helping to build a great workplace, while helping to create a more positive world.
- Do you value fabulous, high-quality food and drink, environmental sustainability, social responsibility, hand-crafting, curiosity, learning, and a sense of fun?
- Do you value working together as a team, honoring and caring for both customers and co-workers alike?
- Do you want to be the primary motivation behind the smooth and profitable operation of a cafe whose mission is to be a force for good in our community?
If you answered YES to the above, read on!
Summary
The Dovetail Cafe & Marketplace is a vibrant and welcoming place, and a sister organization to the Duluth Folk School. The Dovetail Cafe’s mission is to serve as a community gathering place, and to serve delightful and delicious coffee and food, made from (as much as possible) regional and organic sources, at reasonable prices for our neighbors and visitors. The Cafe serves specialty coffee, tea, craft beer, wine, soup, sandwiches, sweets, treats, and other culinary delights! The Marketplace, adjacent to the cafe, sells locally made handcrafted goods.
