Rehbein Rendezvous

A couple weekends ago, we had the great privilege to be a part of a ‘Rehbein Rendezvous.’

Lloyd Rehbein built canoes in Duluth from 1934 until 1967. In 2018, the folk school acquired a 1964 Rehbein canoe, thanks to Caroline Carlson. During the summer of 2019, we had a series of public canoe restoration sessions, and in September, we had the first ‘Rehbein Rendezvous.’

Thanks to everyone who came out with their canoe to share stories. It was a special treat to get these beautiful boats back in the water!
