Wanted: Dovetail Cafe Manager
The Duluth Folk School is hiring a Café Manager to open and operate the new Dovetail Café & Marketplace!
The Duluth Folk School is a vibrant and welcoming place where we teach people traditional skills, help develop community, and have fun! The Café will serve coffee, tea, beer, wine, soup, sandwiches, sweets, treats and other culinary delights! The Marketplace is a consignment shop adjacent to the café, which will sell locally made handcrafted goods. The Community Kitchen will be used for some café prep, as a teaching kitchen, and as a commercial kitchen.
This position will, with full support from the management team, be responsible for starting and managing all aspects of our independent café and marketplace, and overseeing our commercial community kitchen. This includes costing, inventory, staffing/scheduling, ordering, menu planning, and all other aspects of opening a happy and successful café.

*** This position will start at $15/hr at half-time hours, and will transition to full time as the cafe gets closer to opening. As the cafe succeeds, the salary will increase. ***
