– Wild Mushrooms 101

During this class, you will learn about foraging and identifying wild mushrooms. We will discuss some basic information about mushrooms, steps for identifying mushrooms, steps for foraging mushrooms, common edible mushrooms, common toxic mushrooms, recommended resources, etc. You will also get to handle real mushrooms to get some hands-on experience with some of the mushrooms we will talk about.
*This class takes place in a classroom but you will leave with the skills and knowledge to find and identify mushrooms in the wild.
Registration Includes
Participants will go home with a better knowledge about foraging and identifying wild mushrooms and will have to tools to continue learning outside of the classroom.
What goes into our class pricing? As a local nonprofit, Duluth Folk School is committed to supporting both our instructors and community. We want to compensate our instructors fairly, keep class sizes small, and keep our doors open—while also keeping prices as low as we can.

Student Requirements
- Skill Level/Prerequisite Skills: This class is for anyone
- Best for Ages: 18 and older
- You should bring: Paper and writing utensil, and a fascination for fungi!
