Duluth Folk School instructor Ariel Bonkoski

Ariel Bonkoski

I have lived in Duluth for 10 years and was quickly introduced to the beautiful nature throughout the city. I have been studying fungi since 2016 and when I’m not at work you will find me on a hiking trail, identifying mushrooms for people online from all over the world, or with my nose in a mushroom book. I manage about 35 identification groups online for all over the world. I am also the Co-Founder and head Foray Leader for the Lake Superior Mycological Society.
