
Penny Rug Table Runner

Cut circles from scraps of wool, use decorative stitches to layer them onto a background fabric, and you have a penny rug. The story holds the name comes from the coins that were used as the original templates for the circles. In this class, you will learn the types of fabrics that work best, learn different types of stitches to both attach the layers and embellish the design, and go home with your own table runner in the penny rug style.

Instruction and all materials. You will go home with a penny rug table runner of your own design.
You should bring…
Sharp fabric scissors, for cutting pieces of felt.
Skill Level…
No special skill is required.
