Day 3 of 3
May 5, 2025
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Wool Vest. The venerable, fuzzy waistcoat does 2 critical jobs in our northern life. 1. It’s the perfect regulator for our precious body heat. 2. Its the single best fashion statement in the history of the great apes since we dropped our fur.
We’ll start with making your own basic pattern, establishing the character of your new garment. We will discuss basic assembly, laying out pockets, adjusting the fit, choosing and installing closures, and garment care. You will follow through at home, doing the bulk of the work at your own pace between classes.
Registration Includes
Participants will learn basic pattern and garment making techniques for a simple vest. They can see and practice different types of seam construction, material choices, and finishing steps as they build their own unique garment.
