Forest Bathing and Food

July 20, 2024
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
I would like to invite you to join me on this unique and sensory experience. We continue to exist because of the nourishment provided by the beings around us. Intaking food and having the food turn into our cells and tissues is a remarkable experience. We give back to the vegetation around us by breathing out CO2 and moisture. In this way we are feeding each other. Food is a blessing. During our time together in a Forest Bathing and Food Experience, we will connect with ourselves, the more-than human world that surrounds us, and each other.
Registration Includes…
A light, vegetarian charcuterie style lunch. Please make sure you bring a water bottle.
You should bring…
Please wear clothes you are comfortable with getting dirty as we often sit on the ground. The forest can be muddy and wet, and it is easy to get chilled if you aren’t dressed warm enough. Wear more than you think you will need. You can always take something off! In addition, it is possible it may rain, so bring a rain jacket and rain gear. We will go unless there is lightning or the guide deems the conditions unsafe. Dress in layers to keep yourself comfortable during the experience. Also, please bring: A water bottle, Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, apply sunscreen ahead of time), tick protection (long pants to tuck into socks) and sturdy shoes for walking on uneven surfaces.
