Flora Borealis – An Exploration of Minnesota Wildflowers Through Chainstitch Embroidery

  •  June 27, 2026
     5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Devan Burnett is a sewer, creator, and teacher. He used an embroidery machine (a 1963 Singer 114k) to design embroidery-on-felt “posters” of various Minnesota-native flowers, inspired by 18th- and 19th-century botanical illustrations.
Devan will have the embroidery machine on-site to demonstrate, as well as let folks try their own hands at it!
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
