Crush Comb Honey Extraction

Are you a new beekeeper with a hive or two, and maybe a half-dozen frames of honey that you’d like to harvest? Perhaps you can’t figure out how to best get the honey out of the combs, and you would like to learn from the experts. Or perhaps you’re planning to keep bees, and you’d like to get everything dialed in before you get started.

In this class, you will learn about different ways to extract honey from a hive.

You will also build your own crush comb honey extractor. We’ll have a short discussion about honey extraction, we’ll introduce the tools and materials we’ll be working with, and there will be a hands-on demonstration of crush comb honey extraction.

At the end of class, you’ll go home with the skills you need for a successful honey harvest, and your very own crush comb honey extractor!
