Greg Petry

Greg Petry has a Masters degree in Environmental Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and a love for bees. He remembers his first experiences as a beekeeper when he would accompany his father out to the hives and gently pet the bees while his dad inspected the colonies. Today, Greg manages his own hives in an urban setting along central hillside, Duluth, MN. He has found a stronger connection to the rhythms and systems of the natural world through beekeeping. His passion for bees and beekeeping have influenced his neighbors and friends to start keeping bees as well. He is very excited for the opportunity to share his passion with the Duluth Folk School community.
