In this class, you will learn what is required (time, effort, cost) to manage honeybees in northern Minnesota. You’ll also learn basic beekeeping skills, hive placement, different types of honey bees, what tools to use, and personal protection options.

You will also assemble your own Langsroth hive from a kit, and you’ll be able to leave class with a completed bee box!

Class will take place over three consecutive days.

Previous feedback about instructor Greg Petry:

Friendly and helpful, he was also open to continuing to support our efforts in keeping bees.

I like best his commitment to make sure he thoroughly explained the unknowns.
