In this class you will learn the fundamentals of woodcarving as you carve a vase/floral piece in basswood. You will also learn how to add color and even wood burning if it is preferred.

Registration Includes

Students will go home with a basswood flower/vase ornament, a printed pattern and instructions on how to finish it if it does not get finished during class.

You should bring…

Here is a list of the tools you will be using with links to examples:

  • Sm-Med Gouge/Chisel Set (LINK)
  • Chip carving knife (LINK)
  • #11 Xacto knife (LINK)
  • Straight chisel/mallet kit (LINK)
  • Wood burning kit (LINK)

If you have these (or similar) tools, great. If not, feel free to order them ahead of time. We will have a limited amount of tools available for use during class.
