Tom Swanstrom

I have been an outdoor person my whole life. Ropes and knots are just part of that lifestyle. Learning to use knots opens up useful and enjoyable dimensions to the outdoors. It is incredibly satisfying to pass this knowledge on to others.

I have taught junior and senior high school for thirty one years, both social studies and shop classes. I was also in the army Special Forces (green berets) where the emphasis was always on teaching others. Since retirement I like to spend as much time as possible in the woods or on the water where ropes and knots are part of life.
