Duluth Folk School Instructor Tom Gustafson

Tom Gustafson

I’m a lifelong outdoor enthusiast and a Minnesota Master Naturalist. I fell in love with diamond willow a couple years ago and have collected and crafted hundreds of pieces since then. I’m an avid fisherman, canoeist, camper, and more recently, a willow hunter. If you see a car driving erratically on the road, it may be me checking out willow in the ditch! Yes, this obsession may be the end of me.

I’m also an instructor at Lake Superior College and have worked in education all my life. I have taught everything from young children to senior citizens (I love to teach!). When I learn something new, I want to master it and then teach it.
