I’m a maker of many things and master of some! My entire life, I have loved to create things with my hands. I love both the art and the science involved in the process, and work with lots of different media. Some of these include rock, bark, wool, beads and watercolor. I’ve been making things since I was a little kid and the passion has never left! I learn these skills in a variety of ways…self-taught, taking classes, reading, and experimenting LOTS!
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and recently retired from over 35 years of teaching. I now work part time as an independent contractor and trainer in the Early Childhood field and have begun selling some of my art and crafts in a few local galleries and art fairs. I’m excited to combine teaching and art at the Duluth Folk School and hope that doing so will help others realize the energy and satisfaction of slowing down to create something wonderful with their own hands!
