Sarah Erickson

Sarah Kate Erickson (she/her) is the Executive Director at the Duluth Folkschool. Originally from New England, Sarah has lived in Duluth since 2004. She grew up participating with her family in the Gully Oven Folkschool. Sarah’s other schooling includes a biology degree, an M.Ed in environmental education, and an MBA in leadership and change. She has spent hours exploring the woods and water on both coasts and in Minnesota. Sarah enjoys drawing and painting birds, cooking, and nurturing neighborhood and community connections. Over the past 20 years, she has worked around the country at nature centers, schools, outreach programs, and museum spaces. In her free time she enjoys outings with her husband and two children to Duluth’s many parks, cultural events, reading novels, making art, and swimming.
