Kristen Anderson

I’m a fiber artist working in wool felt tapestry as a way to tell the stories of the natural world. As an art and biology major, my artwork has helped me to process the scientific knowledge I’ve read when exploring an idea.

I’ve dabbled in feltmaking for over 20 years and recently mentored in the Otlak Studio with Mary Reichert which allowed me to learn a sustainable way of creating the work I envisioned. Since that time, I’ve seriously devoted myself to feltmaking for solo and group shows. I have also worked as an artist in residence in the Arrowhead Region where I live, teaching fiber arts to elementary students.
