Kirsten Aune

I am a textile artist, creating large wall-hangings, quilts, garments, lampshades, children’s toys, pillows, bedding, table linens, textile installations, and site-specific works.

I have exhibited my textiles nationally and internationally, including this past year at Gallery Colombo in Porvoo, Finland; Haapsolu, Estonia; The American Swedish Institute, and at the Swedish American Museum in Chicago. I have led workshops with my textiles in Estonia, Concordia Language Camp, ASI in Minneapolis, and recently at the Swedish American Museum in Chicago.

My work is in private and public collections, including the Tweed Museum of Art, The Konstol Arts Municipol Vaxjo, Sweden, Duluth’s Children’s Museum, Pocket Park, and Misha’s, Alexandria, Virginia.
