Jill Dalbacka

I am a recently retired teacher who is pursuing my passions in my retirement. Those passions include spending time with my grandkids, working on social justice and equity issues, and creating and sharing my craft with others. I live on a farm where we are third generation, in a farmhouse that was build in 1921. Brrrr!!! We are in the process of renovating our barn (also built in 1921) to become a community event space.

I have been interested in barn quilts for several years but only recently started to create my own. I am running out of space to display my own creations so figure it is time to share this folk art with others. My dream is to work with my local communities to create a barn quilt trail along the local highway that will be able to support an annual barn quilt event.
