I grew up here in the Northwoods, where I’ve acquired a background in psychology and experience as a naturalist and environmental educator, sharing my enthusiasm and adventures in nature through a wide variety of programs. My creative outlet has taken many forms over the years, but a constant lately has been creating wearable and home goods from my handwoven textiles. As a lifelong learner, I’m always seeking out new skills to gain and different crafts to try my hand at.
When I’m not teaching or weaving I can be found in my garden, on the water, hiking the trails, or road tripping to check another National Park off the list. No matter where I go, Lake Superior always pulls me back! So I find myself home in Duluth at the intersection of two of my biggest passions, teaching and crafting, as the Youth Program Coordinator of the Duluth Folk School. I hope to bring the abundance of knowledge and skills in our community surrounding handcrafting and the environment to everyone’s fingertips.
