Erik Vevang

I have been spoon carving since 2013 and teaching greenwood spoon carving since 2015. I was introduced to carving by my wife Michele. We have taken numerous carving classes and been featured in Msp Magazine in the Makers of the North competition. As a carpenter, woodworker and graduate with a BA in Studio Art from St Olaf College, spoon carving has been the perfect way for me to explore the intersection of art and craft. I currently hosts classes in spoon carving at the Audubon Park community center in Minneapolis, at Marine Mills Folk School and at the White Bear Center for the Arts.
