Elena Bantle

I don’t think I have ever met a craft that I didn’t like! I live on about 5 acres on the edge of Duluth, with my partner Mary, our 18 year old Alaskan husky, snuggly cat, chickens and goats. My crafts vary widely, but share a common wonder for the natural world and its abundance. I am a kayak guide and gardener, and I also do woodcarving, make cheese and soap, work with fiber, weave birch bark, harvest and preserve wild foods, and make earrings from found and natural materials. I believe strongly that all people should have access to playfully and meaningfully create, and that to do so is fundamental to being human.
