Dick Osgood

I am trained and educated as a limnologist and aquatic ecologist and have 40-years’ experience as a lake manager. I have studied and managed lakes, mainly in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but also across the country. I am a Certified Lake Manager – one of about 60 in the world. I have published scientific articles, books and book chapters and have given 100s of presentations to technical and citizen audiences. I have had leadership roles on the boards of the North American Lake Management Society (president and officer), Minnesota Lakes Association (officer) and Conservation Minnesota. In my consulting business, I have worked with and for 100s of lake associations, including 15 years as Executive Director of the Lake Minnetonka Association. Currently, I am co-founder of Lake Advocates.
