Hello, my name is David Hicks. I am a husband and a father to two crazy young boys!

We began our adventure into handmade skin products back in 2012 when my son developed a skin condition, eczema, that he couldn’t seem to shake with typical medications. My wife Heather, who is an RN, went through all the standard clinical procedures but nothing seemed to help. After a brief discussion with my grandmother, who is Native American, she had me try making soap. 2 weeks later and his skin condition was gone. That got us to start examining everything we were exposing our children and ourselves to. We decided to investigate the ins and outs of lotion from a historical basis and today, we derive our recipes from traditionally utilized oils and waxes that have long shelf lives, thus we avoid preservatives.

Our priority is to provide excellent quality products to diverse populations. One way we do this is teaching others what we know so that they can aid their families in living healthier lives.
