Duluth Folk School instructor, Charlie Danielson

Charlie Danielson

As a Permaculturist and a father, I have passion to rebuild the soil and protect the water that we borrow from the next generations. I serve our community on the MN Sustainable Farming Association – Lake Superior Chapter Board, and am a founding member of the Lake Superior Mycological Society and on the Advisory Board for the Eco-Entrepreneurship Program at Lake Superior College.

As a farmer I have learned how to work with cover crops, strategic placement of animals, working with edible mushrooms to break down organic waste products, and adding the microbial life to the soil food web with compost and brewing “teas” that has changed my dirt to soil.
