Duluth Folk School Instructor Candice RichardsI’ve been picking, preparing and preserving fruits wild and tame since the middle of the last century and delight in sharing my obsession. I’ve trained with my Grandmother Ethel and as a Volunteer Master Food Preserver through UWEX Douglas County.

I’ve taught food preservation classes at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College including: From Seeds to Sauce / Planning for Food Preservation; Using Northland Fruits; and Canning for Christmas / Gifts from the Kitchen. Other workshops and classes I’ve given through UMD Wellness program; 2013 Food Summit; Whole Foods Co-op and Wild Ones Natural Landscapers.
