Bonnie Ambrosi

I’ve been saving seeds for 25 years. I got my start at a museum in Bloomington, Indiana where I established a garden with historic varieties of flowers and vegetables, saved the seeds, marketed them to the public, and also taught seed saving classes. Since moving to Duluth, I’ve saved seeds from my own gardens, and my daughters (now ages 21 and 14) have been my helpers.

Seed saving literature can give you the technical information about how to save seeds, but it doesn’t make your eyes expand with wonder and your heart with joy the way they will when you see the life of a seed through your child’s eyes. I’m excited to share this simple but profound skill with you!
