Duluth Folk School instructor Alyssa Nelson

Alyssa Nelson

When I am not teaching 3-5 year olds at Hartley Nature Preschool you can find me tying flies or wandering a local body of water with my fly rod. I have been fishing as long as I can remember but, fly fishing consumed my life seven years ago. I have been tying commercially for two years and I find a lot of joy in it! My focus is mostly trout and small mouth bass but I will throw a fly to anything native to the Midwest.
