Mark Plemel

Hi, I’m Mark. I’m a multi-passionate person who loves learning, building, design and nurturing. I work as a mechanical engineer in the wind energy industry and have a side hustle running my business, The Fruit Tree Guy. I’ve liked growing things as long as I can remember and started a business to help others succeed growing fruit trees in 2025. I’m teaching classes on planting and caring for fruit trees, but have lots of other hobbies including gardening, sewing, woodworking and block printing (I’ll probably pick up a new one soon so let me know if you have suggestions). I was born and raised in the Twin Cities, but have been in the Duluth area since college and now call a few acres of wood north of Cloquet home, along with my wife and our cuddly cat.
