Shane Dickey

Originally from Kentucky, Shane Dickey studied creative writing at Antioch College while traveling across the country and world. In 1992 Shane was introduced to the world of storytelling for performance and attended his first National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Shane has since performed and given workshops at numerous midwestern schools, parks, libraries, community centers, festivals and museums. For ten years he taught creative writing at Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton, Ohio, where he infused storytelling into a two-year middle school creative writing curriculum. Shane recently released a whopper of a tall tale as a picture book with good friend “Big Wave” Dave Adams entitled Old Mose. Shane is currently working on a novel.
