Mark Lauer

My name is Mark Lauer and I have been woodworking for the last dozen years when I got sick of the bad furniture you can buy cheaply, but couldn’t afford good furniture that lasted. I also needed something manual to do instead of sitting on a computer all day. This and budget/space and cleanliness constraints led to an interest in handtool woodworking. From there I fell down the rabbit hole of furniture design, construction, and repair and I am happy to pass on the things I have learned. A couple of years ago I branched out into leather work which has been a nicely complimenting skill to learn.
