Heidi Wanzek and Em Klein

We are Heidi and Em of Prairie Rose Farm and Floral, our regenerative flower farm in Mahtowa, MN. Together, we have been growing flowers since 2023 to supply the northland with fresh, local blooms that are grown chemical free and cared for with love. We consider ourselves a land-based florist, a term we use to encapsulate our entire farm to florist practice where our deep connection to the land is the core of all we do. Our process has us working intimately with the plants from seed to harvest and designing, allowing us to deeper understand the nature and affinities of each flower. As florists, we value nature-inspired designs that bring in a bit of the wildness around us, be it for wedding flowers or daily florals in all seasons of life. We take pride in our slow, intentional approach to both farming and floral design, and we are always seeking to incorporate everyday magic wherever we can.
