Weave Your Own Snowshoes

  • Weave Your Own Snowshoes
     November 4, 2017
     9:00 am - 5:00 pm
We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

In this class you will use a kit to weave your own pair of traditional wooden snowshoes (similar to an Athabascan style) made right here in Duluth, of local black ash.

With guidance from the instructor, you will walk away with a fantastic pair of beautiful, handmade snowshoes.

Past makers of these snowshoe kits have described them as “the best snowshoes I’ve ever used”  for traveling the woods of northern Minnesota.  Techniques for weaving, the knots used, and care of the snowshoes are all part of the class.
