Dive into the time-honored art of outdoor waterproofing—the classic way! Discover the ancient technique of applying wax and oils to natural fibers for enhanced water resistance. Join us to learn to craft and apply treatments to unwaxed materials, as well as rejuvenate previously treated fabrics. Bring along a small canvas item—a bag, backpack, or tote—to personalize with your newfound skills. We’ll provide you with a recipe and ingredients for a simple wax treatment. Whether your item is made of waxed or non-waxed cotton, linen, hemp, or blends, you’ll leave with the knowledge to protect your gear and embrace the outdoors in any weather!
