Vintage Bike Celebration

  •  May 16, 2020
     4:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for a celebration of vintage bicycles that includes plenty of polished chrome and maybe a bit of rusty steel. We will be celebrating bike history with a bike ride, music, and a wide variety of vintage bikes!

If you own a vintage (pre-1980) bike, and would like to show it off, please fill out this form before May 2! We will respond as soon as possible.

Bikes will be on display (and a few will be for sale!), from 4-9pm.

4-6pm – Show & Tell!: Bike owners will be showing off their bikes in the main hall of the Duluth Folk School. You can expect a variety of vintages and styles, with common classics to rare rides! Walk around and check out all of the bikes, and along the way, be sure to ask questions.

6-7pm – Bike Ride: We will be taking off for a group ride on the lake walk headed towards the lift bridge then circling back to the Duluth Folk School for live music!

7-9pm – Live Jazz Guitar with Tom O’Hara! Tom is a graduate of Jazz Studies from the University of Minnesota Duluth. He has performed different styles of music such as rock, blues, jazz, funk, country, and classical (but jazz is his favorite!).

Goal:

Celebrate bicycling history, promote bicycling infrastructure, encourage bicycling education, and provide a space for the bike collecting community to meet!
