While we mainly consider fountain pens to be something that went out of fashion decades ago (when the ballpoint pen took over as the reigning writing instrument), they did not in fact disappear. In this class you will learn all about how they are not only still manufactured, but are the center of a thriving community of hobbyists. Come and learn about the new (and some old!) players in the fountain pen industry and how you can add these beautiful pens to your own life!

There are many benefits to using a fountain pen such lessening hand fatigue while writing, having a world of ink colors to choose from, and being eco-friendly (since you can refill them again and again). With your very own starter fountain pen, you will learn how a fountain pen works, how to fill it up, and how to write with it. Each student will go home with a beginner fountain pen, a bottle of ink, and some fountain pen friendly paper to get you started.

Registration Includes…

Instruction and all materials are provided. You will have an insight into the modern world of fountain pens and stationery along with your very own starter fountain pen kit ($25 value) to get you writing right away!
