Sparking a Journaling Practice
-
September 18, 2025
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Have you ever wanted to keep a journal, but find yourself unsure how to begin or stop after only a few days? Do you already keep a journal but want to mix it up? Do you buy pretty notebooks and end up “saving” them for the “right time” (which hasn’t come). If that sounds like you, Sparking a Journaling Practice can kickstart a whole new way of thinking on paper and getting your favorite writing tools moving across the page.
In this hands-on workshop you will start journaling using different techniques that can be used in many ways. You will be provided with tools and ideas for ways to start (and keep) journaling.
Registration Includes
Students will go home with a journaling kit which will include a new journal, a starter fountain pen, and a few other items ($20 value) that they will learn to utilize in class. Students will be able to start journaling right away.
What goes into our class pricing? As a local nonprofit, Duluth Folk School is committed to supporting both our instructors and community. We want to compensate our instructors fairly, keep class sizes small, and keep our doors open—while also keeping prices as low as we can.
