We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

Join us to learn Lindy Hop, a vibrant historical Black dance that developed in Harlem during the 1920s and 30s. In these classes, you’ll discover how to connect with the music of the era and learn the art of partnered dance connection and touch. (Don’t worry, fellow Midwesterners – we’ll ease you into it!)

Throughout the course, you’ll master one of the foundational steps of Lindy Hop: the 6-count basics. We’ll explore authentic dance moves and styles created by the original dancers who developed this incredible art form. By the end of the month, you’ll have all the tools you need to confidently social dance Lindy Hop!

Registration Includes

Students will leave with mastery of 6-count Lindy Hop basics, plus several classic moves originated by the dance’s creators in 1920s and 30s Harlem. They’ll develop the ability to connect with swing era music and the confidence to lead or follow in a social dance setting. By the final class, participants will have the skills and knowledge needed to attend swing dance social events and continue learning in the community.
