Discover the secrets of your sewing machine in “Demystifying Sewing Machines,” a hands-on class designed to build your confidence and understanding of this essential tool. We’ll dig into typical sewing machines and learn about the mechanics of how a stitch is formed, walk you through threading your machine and winding bobbins, and demystify the art of adjusting tension for smooth and consistent results. You’ll also explore needle types and sizes, learning how to match them to different threads and materials. By the end of this class, you’ll have a deeper understanding of what’s really going on inside a sewing machine, and how to tackle problems that may otherwise bring your project to a halt.

Hello! I’m very interested in joining this training. However, I’d also like to learn how to sew. Will there be another event where we can learn sewing and demystify sewing machines? Thank you!
We do have a “Demystifying Sewing” class that teaches basic sewing techniques. We don’t have one on our calendar at this time but will likely offer it again in the future.
