
Clothing Repair and Mending Basics

A beginner’s introduction into hand sewing and clothing repair techniques! In this class we’ll discuss the importance of the “make do and mend” mentality, learn the basic skills needed to sew a button, repair or patch a hole and mend a seam.
Hand sewing is a fun and rewarding skill to know, and this is a welcoming, thoughtful introduction for absolute beginners. Join us!
Registration Includes
Instruction and all materials are included. Participants will leave with their own smiley face patch to help mend a personal garment or sew wherever you wish!
What goes into our class pricing? As a local nonprofit, Duluth Folk School is committed to supporting both our instructors and community. We want to compensate our instructors fairly, keep class sizes small, and keep our doors open—while also keeping prices as low as we can.

- Skill Level/Prerequisite Skills: No prerequisite skills.
- Best for Ages: 13 and older
- You should bring: You don’t need to bring anything but some students like to bring a notebook and something to write with.
