Would you like to build things out of wood, but are a bit uncomfortable with your circular saw (also known as a skill saw)? Here’s a chance to discover how to use your saw effectively, whether cutting 2×6 rafters or ripping plywood. We’ll learn how to adjust the saw, tricks make sure your material isn’t binding when cutting, explore the all important safety elements, and use jigs to be more accurate and efficient. You will actually walk away with a sweet jig for cutting off lumber that works perfectly for your saw.

Goals

Develop skills for safe saw use as well as make a jig for their saw.

None

  • Tuesday, June 7, 6p – 8p

Cost

$20 (includes registration and parts for jig)

Instructor Responsibility

Workbenches, extension cords, sample circular saws

Participant Responsibility

This will be a hands on class, so bring your own saw to practice with (or you can use one of ours).  And, as always, bring appropriate hearing and eye protection.
