Chainsaw Safety – SOLD OUT

  • Chainsaw Safety
     October 7, 2017
     9:00 am - 1:00 pm
We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

This is a great opportunity, either for people who just got their first chainsaw, or for people who have had a chainsaw for a while, but have never really been 100% comfortable with using it.

Chainsaw Safety with the Duluth Folk SchoolIn this class, you will learn basic chainsaw maintenance, including how to take your saw apart for cleaning, sharpening the chain, and lubricating it to keep it working smoothly and properly. We will make sure you understand what type of safety equipment you should wear when cutting and where to obtain it. Finally, you will have a hands-on opportunity to practice the safe use of a chainsaw while cutting some small downed logs.

You will not be felling standing trees, but you will see how it’s done, and you WILL have time operating a chainsaw safely
