In this class, you will learn about what is required (time, effort, cost) to manage honeybees in northern Minnesota. With the instructor there to guide you, you will assemble your own Langsroth hive from a kit, and you’ll leave class with a completed hive!

By the end of class, you’ll have learned basic beekeeping skills, where to place your hives, different types of honeybees, what tools to use, and personal protection options.

In addition to building a hive, you’ll also have the opportunity to taste and compare several different sorts of honey!

Very interested in bee keeping in our area, as a family we have done much research. I don’t mind paying for the class for the setup outcome. Would you mind if I bring my adult daughter and minor granddaughter (permanent guardian) with to the class for this is a family effort and investment. Thank you.
