Day 2 of 2
March 17, 2026
5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Learn basic woodworking and joinery techniques while creating a delightful companion for the yard and garden. Perfect for carrying tools, gardening supplies, or other essentials, this wooden tote is designed with both function and form in mind.
Over the course of the workshop, you’ll learn basic skills necessary to create simple and functional boxes from raw lumber. We’ll guide you through making and using rabbet joints to create strong, simple, and effective connections between pieces of wood, and talk about where and when to use these joints. Along the way, we’ll learn to use a number of common power- and- hand tools in the wood shop. Whether you’re brand new to woodworking or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll leave with a beautiful, handmade tote and a few new tricks.
