October 1, 2022
9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Do you remember folding Readers Digest into Christmas Trees as a child? Well, in this class we will be taking the art of Book Folding to a new level!
During this class you will start with a pattern, ruler, pencil and a hard cover book and end up with a one-of-a-kind folded artwork, choosing between the word “Peace” or “Read” to create a one-of-a-kind item for book lovers that can be displayed on a bookshelf or mantel. You will learn how to measure and fold while following a pattern, be given helpful hints on how to calculate your starting page, create an accurate 90-degree angle, and how to use cutting techniques to enhance your design.
Registration Includes
Instruction, all required materials, and patient instruction. By the end of class, you will go home with the knowledge of how to read, interpret and follow any measure, mark and fold pattern to create a folded book. Information will also be available on where to find used or inexpensive books locally, and where a wide variety of additional patterns for future Book Folding projects can be obtained.
