12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Would you like to learn an heirloom craft? Do you have your grandmother’s/mother’s/aunt’s tatting shuttle and don’t know what to do with it? Have you tried tatting before but couldn’t get the knots to flip? A “yes” answer to any of these questions could mean you are ready to tat!
In this class, you will learn the two steps to the one knot that will make a chain and ring using a tatting shuttle and tatting thread. How to read the different types of patterns will also be covered. You will end the class not with a finished project, rather with the skill set needed to create your own projects.
Registration Includes
Upon completion of the class, students may not have a completed project. Learning to tat is quick. Becoming fluid with it takes longer. This class is designed to give you a basic skill set where you can create projects, such as a bookmark or doily, on your own time. You will learn how to join, chaining, and rings.
You should bring…
Small scissors and some patience :). You can also bring any tatting materials you may already have and want to use. One registration option includes a quality metal shuttle and thread.
