You should bring…

  • If you have carving tools, you’re welcome to bring them along!
  • The most important tool to have is a chip carving knife (LINK)
  • Second in importance is a #11 X-Acto knife with extra blades and handles (LINK)
  • Regular straight chisels are also useful (a regular 1/8″ and 3/8″ straight chisel is all you’d need)
  • A mallet (any size up to 20 oz) can be handy

  • Mitch Vesaas says:

Can I bring my own dragon carving pattern?

    • Bryan French says:

I checked with the instructor, and he’s not against the idea, but just wanted to me to ensure you understood that he has already created blanks for the class, and won’t have additional wood with him to carve new ones. I hope this answers your question!
